Behind The Scenes Of A One-Woman Vintage Shop Owner

Owning a curated vintage shop & running it entirely on my own is not for the weak. There’s far more involved than most people realize, and the work truly never ends. This is for anyone who may not fully understand what goes into it.

The breakdown: traveling to source and curate pieces; going through dusty & dirty vintage; sorting what needs stain treatment, repair, hand-washing, machine washing, or dry cleaning; researching and dating pieces; tagging, steaming, modeling, photographing, and styling; staying on top of all the paperwork; and, of course, running the shop and being present on the days I’m open.

I have learned so much along the way, but most importantly, how to multitask and get things done. This work is truly a labor of love.
